Hollywood star Tom Cruise has told the Government he remains open to acting as a global film ambassador for Ireland, but that his current schedule is full with movie work.

IRELAND’S Hollywood elite are set to be out in force on the red carpet this week as seven homegrown movies debut at a film festival which has become the biggest indicator of Oscar glory.

The debut feature of an Irish filmmaker has been selected for the Toronto International Film Festival which takes place in September.
