A PROMINENT Waterford businessman who won admiration for his involvement in the city’s hosting of the Tall Ships’ Race in 2005 is to take a wider role in the promotion of sail training.

THE Tall Ships’ Race has been and gone but the spirit and buzz which made the event so special is captured in images which have selected for a new calendar.

THE Save Viking Waterford action group has proposed that a yearly Viking Ship Festival should be held in Waterford, following the phenomenal success of the Tall Ships Race 2005.
