Cork will come alive with the sound of music next week as 5,000 singers arrive from all over the world for the annual International Choral Festival.

SPIRITS already soaring with a sneak preview of summer sunshine have been lifted even higher with the opening of the 57th Cork International Choral Festival.

THE Cork International Choral Festival, now in its 54th year, saw 85 choirs from throughout Ireland competing in the national competitions and international choirs competing for the prestigious Fleischmann International Trophy over the weekend.
