Alan Costello is hoping his decision to switch from his native Mayo to playing for Sligo can reap further dividends this summer, as the Yeats County side go in search of their first Connacht SFC final appearance since 2007.

The Connacht Council have confirmed to the Leitrim GAA Board that Mayo referee Declan Corcoran has admitted to making a mistake in sending off midfielder Michael Duignan last Sunday.
