A priest suspected of involvement in the Claudy bombing met a former deputy chairman of the Northern Ireland Policing Board, it was revealed today.

FORMER Bishop of Derry Edward Daly has hit out at the recent report which named Fr James Chesney a prime IRA suspect in the Claudy bombing in 1972.

The North's Police Ombudsman is due to release findings today of his investigations into an alleged cover up of the Claudy bombings in July 1972.
