Bohemians are counting the cost of a fire Dalymount Park.

For Dalymount Park, the fervent hope must be that we can soon be calling it the once and future home of Irish football.

“Shelbourne are most welcome” declared Bohemian’s Life vice-president Tony O’Connell at yesterday’s announcement that Dublin City Council are to purchase Dalymount Park.

Bohemians 1 Cork City 1: An away point at Dalymount Park is not to be sniffed at this season but, with rampant Dundalk extending their lead at the top of the table, Cork City will have reason to rue their inability to hold onto an early lead against Bohemians.
