UK: Spider eggs discovered in a bunch of bananas have been found to belong to a harmless species — after initial fears that a killer spider was on the loose in Britain.

Brazilian juice giant Cutrale is expected to return with an improved offer for US fruit producer Chiquita Brands, keeping the latter’s planned merger with Dublin-based banana distributor Fyffes in doubt.
