Emerald Park unveils new Land of Dinosaurs area just in time for summer
A new family attraction, a dino-themed wild swing ride standing at 12 metres tall, will open this summer at Emerald Park in Meath.
Dinosaur enthusiasts rejoice. Emerald Park in Ashbourne, Co Meath, has announced the arrival of its new themed land, the Lost Valley: Land of Dinosaurs, offering something for the whole family this summer.
Supported by a €3 million investment, the immersive prehistoric world will open this summer, with an official opening date set to be revealed next month.
Lost Valley: Land of Dinosaurs will blend Emerald Park favourites with new elements, transforming an existing area of the park into a fully realised dinosaur adventure.
At the centre of the excitement is a new family attraction, a dino-themed wild swing ride standing at 12 metres tall. The 16-seat ride has a unique gondola design, swinging freely through the air.
While the much-loved Dino Dash coaster remains at its heart, guests can expect a reimagined environment filled with prehistoric theming, roaring soundscapes, and surprises around every corner.
The land will come alive with the arrival of new, realistic dinosaurs, up to six metres in length, including a fearsome T.rex, swift Velociraptors, and baby Triceratops.
Guests will have the chance to get up close and personal through scheduled dinosaur ‘meet and greet’ experiences, adding another layer of interaction to the experience.
The new themed land will also feature dinosaur-themed food offerings, immersive decor, and detailed theming.
Managing director of Emerald Park, Charles Coyle, said: "We’re delighted to bring Lost Valley: Land of Dinosaurs to life for our guests. This exciting re-theme builds on some of our most popular attractions, like Dino Dash, while introducing new elements that enhance the overall experience.
“The addition of a brand-new family ride, along with immersive theming and interactive moments, ensures there’s plenty for both returning visitors and first-time explorers to enjoy. We look forward to welcoming everyone to experience it for themselves in summer 2026.”
