Everybody loves anniversaries, and Amsterdam has a sluice of them in 2013. In the coming 12 months, the Venice of the North will see its canal ring celebrate 400 years, the Rijksmuseum re-opens after a 10-year renovation, and the Van Gogh Museum blows out 40 candles on its latest birthday cake (it’s the 160th anniversary of Vincent’s birth, too).
