Hot ski deals to lift the spirits

*MALEV, the Hungarian national carrier, is expanding the range of destinations available through Budapest with easy access from Dublin, and recently offered special fares of €149 return, including taxes and charges to Varna, on the Black Sea Coast.

The airline is still likely to have cut price flights to the same destination but every Thursday has promised to feature different destinations at special prices on its website.

* BRITISH Airways continues to offer Irish travellers reductions on premium air fares for travel throughout 2009.

The sale will continue for bookings up to June 30 and fare reductions relate to the airline’s Club World and First fares to many worldwide destinations including Atlanta, Barbados, Beijing, Dubai, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, New York and Sydney.

Club World fares include €873 to Cairo, €1,361 to Delhi, €1,722 to Los Angeles and €1,860 to Vancouver. First fares include €2,506 to New York, €2,851 to Miami, €2,942 to Barbados and €3,542 to Mexico City.
