To mark the 25th anniversary of the attacks, we want to hear your memories from September 11, 2001

This Friday marks 25 years since the September 11 terrorist attacks in the US, during which 2,996 people died in the deadliest terrorist attack in history.

Four planes were hijacked, with two flown into the World Trade Center in New York, one flown into the Pentagon in Virginia, and a fourth crashed into a field in Pennsylvania due to a passenger revolt.

Thanks to live news updates, the world watched on in shock and horror, with many of us remembering the day in detail.
