Jesy Nelson hails twin daughters 'bravest girls' as they have feeding tubes removed

Jesy Nelson has hailed her daughters as the "bravest girls" ahead of a procedure to have their nasogastric feeding tubes removed on Friday.

The former Little Mix star gave birth to her twin daughters last year, finding out that her daughters were born with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA).

The rare condition that her daughters, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, have causes muscle weakness, requiring them to be given feeding support as part of their early medical care.

On Friday, she posted a story on her Instagram account, informing her followers that they were having their feeding tubes removed.

Nelson, who had her twins with her former partner Zion Foster, posted a video of her daughters before the procedure.

Caressing one of her daughters, she said: “Today is the big day. We’re taking these plasters off, aren’t we? No more tuby for you in your face. They’re going down soon. The bravest girls in all of the world.”
