Charleen Murphy joins Love Island as a Bombshell
Casa Amor returned to over the weekend, and with it came a face familiar to many Irish viewers.
Content creator Charleen Murphy from Dublin joined the show as one of 12 Bombshells.
Charleen has a huge social media following and has made headlines on several occasions. Here’s what you need to know about the Irish Bombshell.

Charleen is a content creator from Dublin, and is well known as a podcaster and social media influencer.
She co-hosts the popular podcast with Ellie Kelly.
Charleen previously collaborated on beauty collections with Irish makeup brand Kash, founded by Keilidh Cashell.
Charleen is 27 years old.

Before entering the villa, Charleen said she’s intrigued by four of the contestants.
“Kavan, Aidan, Lorenzo and Sean [Fitzy] I’d say. They have bits of my type in each of them but I think I’d need to see that and to actually chat to them properly,” she said.
“Kavan I would say out of all of them is my actual type on paper. I’m excited to get to know all of them.”
On Monday night’s episode, viewers will see Kavan and Charleen confess that they do like each other. Kavan tells Charleen, “I regret not kissing you last night,” before Charleen cheekily replies, “You can do it now,” prompting the pair to lock lips.
However, she will also share a kiss on Monday's episode with Fitzy, another Irish contestant who recognised her upon her arrival. As the pair greeted each other on Charleen’s first day, she asked him: “Is it nice to see a familiar face?”

Yes… and no.
“Finding love is the goal but I think drama probably comes along with the nature of Casa Amor. It’s gonna happen,” she said.
“I am a girl’s girl, but I need to not think about the girls in the Villa because I haven’t met them yet, this is my experience and my time. I need to go in with the blinkers on, and just think day one let’s go and let’s see what happens!”
Charleen spoke to the in 2023 about her regrets about documenting a cosmetic surgery procedure.
She told the Ciara Phelan Podcast she reflected on sharing the details of her breast augmentation, including uploading a video with a step-by-step process.
“I kind of look back and I think... I wouldn’t do it again if I was to get something else,” she said, adding she did not share details about a later rhinoplasty.
She also spoke on the podcast about how she deals with negative commentary online.
Separately, in 2023, a man was sentenced to 18 months in prison for an “unprovoked and unwarranted attack” on the social media influencer earlier that year.
Craig O’Brien of Thomond Road, Ballyfermot, Dublin 10, pleaded guilty to assault causing harm to Charleen Murphy at the Grafton Capital Hotel, Dublin 2, on February 10, 2023.
She read her own victim impact statement to the court and said: “I share a lot of my life online and live a very public life. This was never an issue until February of this year”.
She told the court that she had “a physical scar on her forehead, but that emotional scars don’t fade”.
Since the assault, she has suffered from nightmares, panic attacks and is “a shell of myself”.
“Not a day goes by that I don’t think of it”, she said, adding she hoped that “justice can be served”.
