They're based in Florida, but Olivia Buschini and Liam Doherty headed across the Atlantic to say “I do”.
Olivia, from Hobe Sound, and Liam, from Tampa, were wed on May 20 in St Mary’s Church in Dingle, Co Kerry, by Fr Connor Penn. They held their reception in the Dingle Skellig Hotel.

Olivia, a radiologic technologist, and Liam, an account manager, first met almost 10 years ago, in November 2016, in Tampa, and started dating in May 2019
“Liam proposed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Lake Michigan, overlooking the Milwaukee Art Museum, in November of 2024,” says Olivia.
They were keen to be “surrounded by all the people we love in our favourite place on earth, Ireland” when they exchanged vows, according to the bride.

“We both currently live together in Tampa, but hopefully one day we will move to Ireland,” she says.
The West Kerry wedding day was worth every air mile. “It was way more than we could have ever imagined,” says Olivia. “The weather was perfect, and everyone had the best time,” she says.
Their abiding memory of the day? “Just love,” says Olivia. “Love for each other. Love for those who celebrate with us. Love for those who helped us along the way. Love for the weather when the forecasts hadn’t been favourable!”

Helping them plan and celebrate the big event were Olivia’s parents, Angela and John Buschini, and Liam’s mother and father, Elizabeth and Timothy Doherty. “Every person who came made our day special. Some travelled within Ireland, and others travelled over from the States,” adds the bride.
Olivia’s sisters, Jenn and Erin Buschini, were her maids of honour, and her sister-in-law, Hannah Doherty-Passardi, and lifelong friends Hunter Labanowitz, Shahrzad Jabalbarez, and Whitney Lima were her bridesmaids.

Liam’s friend Ezra Klar was his best man, and his brothers-in-law Joseph Buschini and Matthew Passardi, and friends Dylan Burger, Ryan Cusick, Chandler Marsee, Jensen Stetson, and Abey Srour were his groomsmen.

Niamh Kirby sang and performed the music for the wedding Mass. As she approached the aisle, Olivia says she felt “anxiously excited but also calm”.
Liam adds: “I felt grateful — so appreciative of those who made the journey to celebrate and share the moment.”

The bride and groom were super-chic, Olivia in her Maggie Sottero gown and Liam in a sleek tuxedo.

Acclaimed musician Michael Milner was on hand to accompany them as they emerged from the church.
“Michael played the bagpipes as we paraded down Green Street in Dingle and performed throughout the cocktail reception,” says Olivia.
Hairstylist Tricia O’Sullivan and makeup artist Ally O’Reardon ensured the bride was ready for her close-ups, and her attendants’ makeup was by Sharon O’Sullivan.

Karen O’Mahony created the floral décor.
Capturing the big day on camera were wedding photographer Padraig Healy ( Padraighealy.com) and videographer Olga Dragon of Seaforest Films.
For their first dance as newlyweds, Olivia and Liam took to the floor to The Paper Kites hit Till the Flame Turns Blue, with wedding band No Strings Attached ensuring the guests were swift to follow suit.
The couple chose Italy as their honeymoon destination, taking in Florence, Positano, and Rome.
