Jedward's John Grimes rekindles romance following Ex on the Beach appearance

John Grimes joins the cast of the new series of Celebrity Ex on the Beach.

John Grimes has revealed that he has rekindled his romance with his ex-girlfriend, days before he is due to make his debut on Celebrity Ex on the Beach.

John, who is one half of Jedward with his brother Edward Grimes, is set to appear in the new series, the first episode of which airs on Tuesday.

At the weekend, Grimes confirmed that he's back with his ex-girlfriend Sarah Carragher, whom he reunites with on the show, by sharing snaps of the pair in front of Tower Bridge in London.

“Here’s to a new chapter and making memories with the best Girl xxx”', he captioned the post.

Grimes surprised fans earlier this month with the news that he would be flying solo for the first time, parting ways with his twin brother, Edward, for Celebrity Ex on the Beach.

In a sneak peek of the show, Grimes is seen quickly settling into the luxury villa alongside fellow celebrities, including Helen Flanagan, Dani Imbert, Izzy Fairthorne and Toby Aromolaran.

Grimes was one of eight single celebrities to first enter the villa, before the beach starts to wash up their exes.

The first ex, who arrived directly at the villa, was Izzy Fairthorne’s ex, Rogan O’Connor, and Grimes appeared to become quite protective of Fairthorne, questioning O’Connor about their initial breakup and joining the girls for a debrief of her first date with her ex since their split.

Early on in episode one, Grimes tells co-star Toby Aromolaran that he wants to let the conversations in the villa flow, saying, “whatever comes, comes”.

“It’s hard to be in the spotlight and date somebody because when you’re in a boy band or group, it’s not the thing that you’re advised to be doing but I did anyway… a few times,” he said.

Later in the series, Grimes will meet his ex, Sarah Carragher, whom he has since confirmed has rekindled a romantic spark with.

The new season of Celebrity Ex on the Beach will air on Tuesday, with one episode dropping weekly exclusively to Paramount+.
