star Saoirse-Monica Jackson has tied the knot with DJ Denis Sulta, whose real name is Hector Barbour, in a ceremony that celebrated the pair’s rich heritage.
Jackson from Derry and Barbour from Glasgow paid homage to their Irish and Scottish roots with a three-day celebration at Dromquinna Manor in Kerry.
There was Guinness on tap and kilts galore as the couple celebrated with their guests, including Jackson’s co-star Jamie-Lee O'Donnell, who was a bridesmaid on the big day.
Jackson shared snaps from the big day, which was featured in , to her Instagram account this week with the caption: ‘To infinity and beyond.’ The snaps gave fans a glimpse of the wedding celebrations, including Jackson and her now-husband’s outfits, the ceremony, and after party.
Jackson subtly paid tribute to both her and Barbour's mothers' wedding dresses, adding Celtic brooches inspired by her mother, and making the corset reversible with tartan on the inside in homage to her new mother-in-law's dress.
She told that she incorporated as many Irish and Scottish fashion brands as possible on the day, turning to Eily O'Connell to create bespoke emerald jewellery that would match the bridesmaids' green Rat & Boa dresses.
The 31-year-old also shared a video of the big day on Instagram with the caption: ‘To all our loved ones, you are everything.’
