I met Felicitas LeWinter in June 1976 in Belfast. I was 16. She was a pianist who had studied with Emil von Sauer, who had studied with Franz Liszt.

I met her because my father bumped in to an old friend of his in the GPO in Belfast. This friend said ‘I hear your son plays the piano. There’s a very interesting teacher in town for the summer’.
