Doireann Garrihy has announced that she is expecting her first child with her husband Mark Mehigan.
The couple, who tied the knot last year, shared the news on Instagram on Friday morning.
Garrihy posted photos of them holding their baby scan, with the caption: “We are beside ourselves with joy. Here’s to the greatest chapter yet.“
Dancing with the Stars judge Arthur Gourounlian congratulated the presenter, who recently co-hosted the show alongside Jennifer Zamparelli.
“This is absolutely beautiful. Congratulations, you guys. Now, if you need any tips on kids' fashion, you know who to call,” he posted.
The Garrihy sisters also posted on Instagram in support of their sister’s news.
“You two. What a lucky little baba...we cannot wait to meet you little angel, Aobhín Garrihy posted, while Ailbhe said that “the best is yet to come” for the couple.
Garrihy’s fellow RTÉ 2FM presenter Carl Mullan described the news as “absolutely amazing”.
“A little swan baby. Massive congrats to you both,” he posted.
The news comes after Garrihy married the comedian last December, one year after announcing their engagement.
Garrihy recently wrapped filming on Dancing With The Stars and presents the RTÉ 2FM drivetime slot each Monday to Friday from 3pm to 6pm.
