Season tickets for nine county teams for the upcoming year including four Munster hurling sides are again expected to sell out.

Only renewals of existing passes are available for Clare, Cork, Limerick and Tipperary’s hurling teams and in football Armagh, Donegal, Dublin, Kerry and Mayo.

Season tickets for 2027 became available for purchase or renewal on Wednesday, earlier than previous years, and remain priced at €140 for hurling and €150 for football. The hurling is priced €10 less as teams in the code play one less group game in the National League, six to football’s seven.

In both codes, purchasing tickets for five of the team’s championship games entitles the holder to buy an All-Ireland final ticket in the event the side qualifies for it. The deal also covers the National League final if their team qualifies as well as All-Ireland senior club final double-header in Croke Park in January.

It is the sixth season in a row that the top price point for the season ticket has been €150 – it is €30 for juveniles while some counties like Kilkenny, Meath and Waterford offer packages which include club games (Club+) at €250.

Four years ago, the GAA removed entry to a team’s first championship game as part of the initiative. It had been €120 in 2021 having been €99 three years earlier and €75 in the late 2000s and up to 2014.

Previously, a season ticket holder’s attendance was monitored for the purpose of All-Ireland final admission eligibility but now purchases are tracked. As in recent years, transfer of tickets is also permissible.

The GAA have phased out the physical season ticket and the need for specific stiles at matches. Holders are now required to purchase tickets via their online account. The transaction limit is eight tickets.

There are approximately 3,500 season tickets available per county, although Dublin’s total incorporates more because of their Parnell Park pass that encompasses their club games.

Cork also have over 2,200 premium seat ticket holders to consider for Munster finals and All-Ireland semi-finals and finals. In total, 27 teams have inter-county season ticket schemes – 16 football and 11 hurling. In the nine counties, subscribers have been advised to renew before November 29. Any slots that become available will be put on general sale on December 1.

As the GAA contemplate increasing ticket price increases in 2027, the freeze on the season ticket cost will be appreciated. In 2025, National League gate receipts climbed to over €8.2 million, an increase of €1.6m.
