My Wedding Day with Clare McKenna: 'I remember looking in the mirror — I couldn't believe it was me'

Clare McKenna and her husband Jonathan, they got married in Slane.

We got married on September 20, 2008, in Slane. Myself and my husband Johnathan are very easy going; we bought the first house that we walked into, I bought the first wedding dress I tried on, and the Mill House was the first wedding venue we saw — and we didn’t even go to see it as a wedding venue.

Friends of ours had gone to stay there for the weekend and were raving about it, so we drove to Slane to see it. We rocked up for a toasted sandwich and a pot of tea, and they were showing the venue to other couples, so we just fell in with them and started looking around too.
