Diary of a Gen Z Student: You can spot an Irish person abroad by their GAA jersey

I’m inevitably standing in the longest queue to go through Dublin Airport security. Someone is yelling at me to take my liquids, laptop, phone, and first born out of my bag. I’m frantically sifting through my selection of in-flight snacks, looking for my bag of liquids.

I’m prepared to whip off my belt and shoes, strip down to the nude. But it’s 4am, and my usual cat-like reflexes haven’t kicked in yet. I’m something resembling a sloth, my jaded eyelids half-closed.
