Cork people will get a chance to hear first-hand accounts from participants in the flotilla that attempted to break the Israeli blockade on Gaza last year. Campaigner and comedian Tadhg Hickey will host a discussion with fellow flotilla members at Cyprus Avenue on Oliver Plunkett St on Friday, February 13.

The event entitled ‘Shanties and Shenanigans - From The Sumud Flotilla Crew’ will feature a number of participants discussing their experiences around the convoy that was intercepted by Israeli forces in autumn 2025 before they could deliver their cargos of aid to Gaza.
