Louise Cantillon has been named as the new weekly lunchtime presenter on Today FM.

The Limerick native will kick start her new show from noon to 2pm on Monday, January 8.

It comes after Pamela Joyce announced her decision to step down from the role in November, after taking over from presenter Mairead Ronan.

A proud Gaeilgeoir, Louise Cantillon is no stranger to the Today FM audience and has featured on different shows across the station since the summer of 2022.

Speaking on her new role, she said: “I am so excited and totally honoured to be joining Today FM’s weekday schedule!

I feel so lucky to have this opportunity on a national station and schedule full of inspirational creatives.

“This is the biggest break of my career, and I just can’t wait to get stuck in and have the best fun, play great ceol, and use a cúpla focal with the lunchtime listeners. Roll on January 24!"

Cantillon married her long-term partner, Limerick GAA star Declan Hannon earlier this year.

The couple held their reception at Adare Manor in County Limerick.
