Julie Jay: Move over Kim, there’s a new boss in town and her name is North

In the latest series of Keeping Up With Kardashians, 10-year-old North West has been running rings around her mother, and we love her all the more for it

I occasionally fantasise about being the subject of a reality TV show, but I am held back by the fear of exposing myself as a consummate bore. I am, after all, the kind of person whose idea of a fun date night currently consists of getting my husband to help me pair socks while watching the nine o’clock news together, occasionally spicing it up with the remnants of a chocolate orange.

When it comes to turning the family into a franchise, however, the Kardashians undoubtedly reign supreme; and it seems the winds of change are blowing through the household, though this time it’s not Kim Kardashian at the helm.
