CHASE stands for Cork Harbour Alliance for a Safe Environment. It was formed in 2001 as an alliance of local groups around Cork Harbour who came together to oppose Indaver’s proposal to build a large commercial waste incinerator on the last remaining undeveloped peninsula in Ringaskiddy, beside Gobby Beach.
