Trend of the week: Demin
Denim refuses to die. Long live denim. From Levi Strauss’ gold mining roots to the anti-establishment message of the 50s, 60s and 70s; not to mention the sexdriven ads of the 80s and 90s (Calvin Klein, anyone?) or the potential health risks of noughties’ super skinnies, the blue jean has come full circle.
Fast forward to spring summer 16, we’ll be seeing more of this failsafe fabric in multiple (less incendiary) incarnations.
For now, we’ll layer and love it – but never leave it!
Midi skirt: Wear it now with a sheepskin coat and knee boots; wear it later with a t-shirt and heels.
Culottes: Wear it now with a cashmere sweater and full length coat; wear it later with the same knit and fancy flats.
Jumpsuit: Wear it now with a polo neck and ankle boots; wear it later barearmed with sneakers.
Kimono jacket: Wear it now with a shirt dress and polo neck; wear it later with city shorts and rope wedges.
