Name: Sinéad Hayes

Street trend: Sinéad Hayes

Occupation: Director (and Cork parent representative) at iCAN (Irish Children’s Arthritis Network) — a parent-led, volunteer network that supports children who have juvenile arthritis, and also helps their families.

What are you wearing? Today, I’m wearing a Penneys coat (€25), earrings (€3) and tights (€2.50); a necklace (€18) from Cherish, Charleville, €18, a River Island tunic (€37), Zara boots (€70 on sale) and a Guess bag and watch, both of which were gifts.

Describe your style in three words? Fashionable, yet comfortable.

How long does it take you to get dressed in the morning? Two minutes before the school run and half an hour when I get home.

Fashion or function — which word best describes your attitude to clothes, and why? Both. As much as I love to be fashionable, I’m a mother-of-three, always on the go; as much as I love heels, I gladly exchange them for a pair of pumps, when running around after the kids.

What’s your biggest source of style inspiration? Fashion blogs, magazines and music.

Where do you like to shop? River Island, Vero Moda, New Look, Penneys, Verso and Cherish. I wouldn’t go beyond The Dress Bar for that very special occasion.

Who or what is Ireland’s greatest undiscovered gem? Cherish boutique, in Charleville — definitely a gem, although maybe not totally undiscovered. Maeve and the girls provide such a fantastic and friendly service. Worth a visit.

Also, Kapello Hair Salon recently opened its doors in Ballyvolane. Nicole is very professional and second-to-none.

Why does your style/outfit work? It’’s fashionable, yet very comfortable. Most importantly, it’s keeping me warm.
