Street Trend: Lola Desmond
Today I’m wearing a Zara top (€16), River Island cardigan (€40), H&M leggings (€24), Red or Dead knee high suede boots (€220), a fedora from Element (€36), Vila necklace (€20) and leather Alexander McQueen bag (€1,000).
Classic, contemporary, vintage.
15 minutes. I have a vast wardrobe to choose from and usual pre-empt what I’m going to wear the night before.
Function. I’ve never been a huge follower of trends as they phase out as fast as they come in. I adore vintage pieces; they are a big part of my staple wardrobe. I love dressing comfortably for my shape, wearing clean lines and neutral shades to compliment my figure and complexion.
The fashion shows held by Lockdown Models with local Cork boutiques; Pinterest and other forms of social media.
Irish women have phenomenal style and taste and have a very polished look which is parallel to what I’ve seen anywhere else in the world.
I like to shop in Zara, River Island, Miss Daisy Blue and Brown Thomas.. I’ve never been an online shopper as there’s nothing quite like the experience of feeling the fabric, trying things on and leaving with a shiny shopping bag..
In Cork it would have to be Miss Daisy Blue boutique in the English Market; Wear We Wander in the Vintage Quarter and The Dress Bar in Penrose Wharf (a borrower’s paradise).
I’m not following any trends it my own individual style.
