The pants

Moher Palazzo Pants, €139. Tomollo Fashions

Founded by Kenyan-born fashion designer Christine Omollo and Irish architect and strategist Tom Byrne, TOMOLLO specialises in daywear and occasion wear designed to make you stand out. Omollo’s designs draw inspiration from impressionism, cubism and the natural world, while Byrne brings an architectural eye to their shapes and construction.

A community venture in the western suburbs of Nairobi, the brand is mindful of its role in the community and committed to responsible production. Local contractors are paid for crochet and knitting, while young men and women are trained in the specialist skills of pattern cutting and dressmaking. When it comes to materials, nothing goes to waste: discarded Levi’s denim from a local manufacturing facility are transformed into travel bags and shirt dresses, while offcuts become cushions or PE kits for local schools.

We’ve fallen for the visually striking Moher Palazzo Pants, €139.

One of our favourite SPFs has just launched in a smaller, travel friendly 50ml size. Ultraceuticals UV Protective Daily Moisturiser SPF 50 Mattifying is a non-whitening, shine-free formula with silica, a common ingredient in primers, making it perfect for applying under make-up. For those looking for hydration and radiance, the brand’s hydrating version has also launched in the mini size. €39.50.

Stonechat Jewellers' Moving Tides Collection

Stonechat Jewellers is inviting people of all ages to take a refreshing dip for a great cause by joining its second annual Aware Sea Swim at Seapoint Beach, Monkstown, next Sunday, August, 30. The feel-good community event aims to bring people together, starting conversations around mental health and celebrating the positive impact that nature, community and the sea can have on our wellbeing.

The now annual swim forms part of the jewellers’ long-standing partnership with the mental health support service, with 10% of any purchase from their Stepping Stones and Moving Tides jewellery collections going directly to the charity. So far, €83,000 has been raised from this partnership.

Launched in 2025, the Moving Tides Collection was inspired by the calming rhythms of the Irish coastline and the belief that, like the tides, life is constantly changing and moving forward. Moving Tides Pendant in Gold, €350.
