Street Trend: Olivia Tracey
I’m wearing a Ted Baker jacket (approx €250) and silk scarf (gift) from LA; a top from CAbi — Carol Anderson By Invitation (approx €60), Mango jeans (€39.95), a belt from a New York consignment store (approx €20) and a Newbridge neckpiece and bracelet (gifts). My boots are from LA (approx €250) and my bag (€425) is from House of Fraser, Dundrum.
Body-conscious, elegant, glamorous
About an hour.
I would say fashion. However, I am more of a fashion borrower than a strict fashion follower. I look at the overall picture and choose looks that appeal to me and flatter my body shape and out of that create my individual style.
What’s your biggest source of style inspiration? Sometimes I look online but the traditionalist in me really loves to sit down with Vogue and Ireland’s Image magazine to absorb the latest looks. I will also consider some of the looks from the red carpet. I love Armani designs and Louise Kennedy.
I am truly impressed by a wonderful fashion-conscious trend among Irish men, favouring trendy jeans and shirts, and stylish shoes and accessories.
When not shopping at designer outlets in the US, I am a big Bloomingdales, Ted Baker and Karen Millen fan. I also love to shop in House of Fraser and love their bag and footwear department. I love the chain stores for t-shirts and always enjoy a trip to Kildare Village to find a bargain. A browse through the shops in Grafton Street is pleasurable and indeed nostalgic and a day at Dundrum Shopping Centre is always a treat.
This outfit works for me because it combines chic with a classy, casual comfort. It’s a classic with a modern twist. I can shop, work and go to dinner in this outfit so it is very utilitarian. It is also age appropriate and ageless.
