Halle Berry took the Global Icon gong at the Huading Film Awards in LA.

Model/art director Julia Restoin Roitfeld’s outfit is from the same Dolce and Gabbana collection. The green platform sandals are a fun pop of colour and match the Dolce bag (just visible). Her messy hair might say “effortless chic” but the rest screams “walking endorsement” for the brand.

It can be risky to coordinate with the event sponsor’s colours. Julie Bowen gets a pass for flying the Step Up for Women Network’s flag in Beverly Hills. The Modern Family star looked adorable in her Philosophy by Natalie Ratabesi dress, Jimmy Choo tube clutch and Oscar Tiye shoes.

Rihanna accepted the CFDA Fashion Icon Award in this Adam Selman fishnet dress. I love the colour of the gown and the rabbit stole (stoles are set to be the accessory of autumn 2014). However, neither conceals London and France and the fur barely hides a Brazilian, ironically. It is just too much.
