Street trend: Katie O’Donoghue (Miss Cork 2014)
Bishopstown, Co Cork.
I am wearing a Bershka blazer (€22.99), a Swamp camisole (€19.98), Zara skinny jeans (€39.95), River Island stiletto sandals (€60) and a necklace from Penneys (€5).
Girly, trendy and simple.
It depends on what I am doing for the day. If I’m staying at home, I keep it casual so it could only take half an hour or less. However, if I’m heading out it could take me up to an hour but that’s mainly due to hair and makeup.
It’s hard to pick because my daily routine is never the same so I would have to say that both are equally important.
I do like to keep things practical a lot of the time but in a way that they have some element of fashion added into the outfit.
Websites like We Heart It and Pinterest contribute to my style inspiration but I also like to follow bloggers such as Joanne Larby for some pointers. I find that everyone has different sources of inspiration so it’s nice to mix and match trends.
In Cork city there are a lot of personalities that come through in the outfits people wear. You never really see two people wearing the same outfit — everyone interprets a trend in their own way which I love because it shows a lot of variety.
Bershka or Zara in Mahon Point Shopping Centre always have something that is both stylish and affordable.
I recently wore a dress at a charity fashion show from Valerie O’Shea Designs which are definitely unique and worth having a look at.
It’s stylish for daywear or going out at night. The pastel colours are on trend and I can also co-ordinate it with different items in my wardrobe.
