Trend of the week: Seductive yet prim and proper
It’s official. Tweed is one of hottest and most titillating fabrics in which to cosset those curves.
Prada, Victoria Beckham, Tory Burch and Dolce & Gabbana all parlayed the
heritage cloth into erotically charged silhouettes.
Cinched waists and peeka-boo flesh flirted with demure heels and sensible sleeves. The result?
Ladylike chic redefined.
* Make like Dolce & Gabbana by mixing ladylike and menswear references – an hourglass dress with an oversized Crombie perhaps?
* Edge out a tweed skirt with a pair of second skin knee boots.
* Create hourglass curves with a fulsome circle skirt. Belt at the waist for a hyper-exaggerated silhouette.
* Not a hat gal? Push the style envelope with a veiled headband as seen on Simone Rocha’s autumn/winter 13 catwalk.
