Film-maker James Cameron has said he was “a little bit in tears” following a speech by British actress Kate Winslet, who outlined the “mind-blowing” impact the director has had during his esteemed career.

Winslet, who starred in Cameron’s 1997 hit Titanic before reuniting on sci-fi epic Avatar: The Way Of Water in 2022, described the Canadian as “passionate and extraordinary” as he was awarded Legends status by Disney during a D23 ceremony in California.
