Irish actor Saoirse Ronan is said to have married her longterm partner, Jack Lowden, over the weekend, with the couple reportedly tying the knot in a secret ceremony in Edinburgh.
Only a handful of close friends were present, with all the guests sworn to secrecy over the event, which took place the weekend of July 20, the reported.
Ronan and Lowden are believed to have met for the first time when they played husband and wife in the 2018 flick

From Scotland, Lowden is an actor, having a four-year long career on stage before moving into film and TV.
He’s starred in the likes of , and .
He is perhaps best known for playing River Cartwright in the British spy thriller TV series alongside Gary Oldman. The fourth season of the thriller is set to premiere in September of this year.

Sightings of the pair together have also been sparse. Lowden has, however, shared the occasional photo of Ronan on his Instagram, such as a recent snap from Glastonbury.
The pair have even kept quiet about the other in interviews, often shutting down any questions about the relationship.
When asked about Ronan’s acting in an interview with newspaper, however, Lowden gushed: “The woman is a force of nature, on- and off-screen, and utterly fearless and a brilliant leader as well.
“My first love is actors, and when you’re given a Ferrari like her, it’s all about how you make everything good for the Ferrari to show off. Don’t make a Ferrari do what a Renault Clio does.
“It’s a dreadful analogy but they’re like gold dust, good actors. When there’s someone like that, you just have to facilitate them and you will get gold. And my God, did we.”
In 2020, Ronan and Lowden bought a home in west Cork, and also have a home in London. They share a terrier, named Fran.
They also share a production company together with producer Dominic Norris. Their film, , stars Ronan and will open in Irish cinemas on Friday, September 27.
