Saoirse Ronan was touched to learn author Ian McEwan sang her praises to Ryan Tubridy when she was still an unknown child actor.

Saoirse joined Ryan this morning ahead of the release of the movie adaptation of Ian McEwan's 'On Chesil Beach'.
