Maïa Dunphy joins Dancing with the Stars

Dancing with the Stars is returning to our screens in the New Year and the show has today announced its third celebrity.

Broadcaster and writer Maïa Dunphy is the latest addition to the show.

And the third celebrity joining our array of dancing stars is the wonderful, Maïa Dunphy!

"Egad!! Please be nice folks..... the smile belies a lot of fear," she wrote on Twitter.

The star has already received a lot of support, including from author Louise O’Neill who said Maïa is "going to be BRILLIANT".

She joins comedians Bernard O’Shea and Deirde O’Kane in next year’s show.
