TV3 highlights rise in hoax callers on Ireland's Paramedics
A new episode of Ireland's Paramedics will air tonight on TV3 at 8.30pm.
The episode shows a rise in hoax callers and how it leads to a dangerous drain on the ambulance services.
In the clip below a 13-year-old makes a hoax 999 call to the National Emergency Operation Centre in Tallaght.
The Caller says that heās ābarricaded in his house and he canāt get out because a robber came and cut his cousins legs off and took him on the bus Dublinā. The caller is warned about the repercussions of making a hoax call but calls back 12 hours later with the same story.
