Comedian John Bishop says he'd have married an Irish woman (if he wasn't already married)

Comedian John Bishop was on The Late Late last night and he played to the crowd, wooing the women with a few compliments.

Although a happily married man at the age of 49, Bishop said he thought he would have married an Irish woman and claimed Irish men are 'punching above their weight' when it comes to their partners.

With the crowd firmly in his pocket, Bishop continued by saying he would have liked his missus to have a few more siblings, like an Irish family, so he always had someone else to compare to after he messes up.

Makes sense really.
