Russell Brand becomes a dad and plans to raise child as gender neutral
Russell Brand has become a dad for the first time with his girlfriend Laura Gallacher.
The comedian announced the news mid-gig: “I need to get down the f*ing M21 as my girlfriend has just had a baby,” he announced.
It has now been revealed that his new arrival is a baby girl, named Mabel.
Although speaking to Jonathan Ross earlier in the year he said: “ I may not even ever impose a gender upon it, let the child grow up and be the whatever the hell it is, never tell it there is such a concept”.
Brand, who was once famously married to Katy Perry, has kept his relationship with Laura on a low profile.
The couple have been dating on and off for ten years.
