His niece, Moya Brennan, took to Twitter to share the sad news of her uncle's death.

Sad news for Clannad fans today as Padraig Duggan has died aged 67 today.

The musician, who was the founding member of the band passed away in Blanchardstown Hospital following a recurring illness.
