Screech and Slater from Saved By The Bell have reunited

There’s nothing we like more than a good 90s reunion, and this time it’s from one of our favourite childhood shows, Saved By The Bell.
Mario Lopez, who played AC Slater and Dustin Diamond who played Screech, sat down together for a candid interview on Lopez’s successful American TV show, Extra.
Although the chat wasn’t all Bayside High related - this was Dustin’s first interview since his release from jail.
The 39-year-old was found guilty of disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon following a Wisconsin barroom brawl in late 2014, and sentenced to four months.

Although due to good behaviour and his works as a janitor, he was realised a month early.
“It pretty scary going into that environment,” he told Mario.
“I found that as long as you follow the rules and stay with the system, it works. You can get in and out unscathed”.

Diamond also revealed that it was a 'stunt person' in his 2006 sex tape and there was a ghostwriter behind his 2009 tell-all book Behind The Bell, which was criticized for ‘fabricating’ stories about his co-stars.
“The book didn’t exactly paint a flattering picture of your fellow castmates,” Lopez said mid-interview.
“Imagine how I feel, I haven’t talked to Marc Paul [Gosselaar] or Elizabeth [Berkley] or Tiffani [Thiessen] in ages, so I can’t imagine what they think,” Diamond replied.
“I’m hoping this will clear it up. It wasn’t me, I didn’t write this. I was just as shocked and appalled.”
Diamond also said he was looking forward getting back on the straight and narrow, starting a family with his fiancee, Amanda and returning to stand-up comedy.
Here’s hoping we see a full cast reunion soon.
