Stephanie Seymour must attend AA meetings to get DUI case dismissed

Supermodel Stephanie Seymour will get a drink-driving case dismissed if she completes alcohol abuse treatment, attends Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and meets with victims of drink-drive accidents, a judge ruled.

A state judge in Stamford, Connecticut, allowed the 47-year-old former Victoria's Secret and Sports Illustrated model to enter diversionary programmes that could result in the dismissal of charges stemming from two accidents on the same day in January in her home town of Greenwich.

No one was injured.

Seymour is expected to attend a six-week outpatient programme for alcohol abuse, go to AA meetings twice weekly and meet with victim impact panels twice.

Seymour apologised and said she was ashamed during the court appearance.

The charges would be dismissed in April 2017 if she completes the programmes.
