Chat show host favourite Graham Norton sent fans into a tizzy when he mysteriously announced he got engaged.
The 52-year-old caused social media in explode when he uploaded a snap of him cuddled up to financial adviser George Sapio.
Captioning the picture, the Cork native simply wrote: “I said yes! #Valentine’s #newyork” alongside a number of ring emoji’s.
Causing his fans to go into meltdown, the broadcaster then cleared up the confusion – adding he only said yes “to another drink” and asked his followers to “calm down peeps”, according to the Sun.
Pulling a Valentine’s Day prank, the news would have been a huge surprise to his followers as the BBC star is thought to be currently single since splitting from Andrew Smith last summer.
Looking for love, the TV presenter has previously been spotted on dating app Tinder.
