The voice of Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny, Joe Alaskey, has died

Voice artist Joe Alaskey has died at the age of 63.

Joe was the voice of several Looney Tunes characters from 1990 to1995, although he was best known for his work as Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, Sylvester and Tweety Bird.

According to blogger Mark Evanier, Joe lost his battle to cancer on Wednesday night.

After winning an Emmy in 1995 for his role as Daffy in Duck Dodgers, he took over of Grandpa in the popular animated series Rugrats.

He also won an Annie Award in 2004, an award honouring his achievements in animations and a Behind The Voice Actors Awards in 2012, for his work in Tom and Jerry.
