Saoirse Ronan and Michael Fassbender both nominated for Best Lead at Golden Globes
The good news keeps coming for Saoirse Ronan who has just received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama in Brooklyn.
The actress has won rave reviews for her portrayal of a young Irish immigrant to the United States and is receiving major Oscar buzz.
Well, technically the nomination went to a 'Seesah Ronan' but we think they've give her this one.

Saoirse is up against Hollywood heavyweights including Cate Blanchett and Brie Larson for the gong.
It comes after the Carlow native’s former co-star Mark Wahlberg told Goss.ie he hopes to see Saoirse nominated for an Oscar.
Meanwhile, Michael Fassbender has received a nod for Best Lead Actor in a Motion Picture Drama for Steve Jobs.

The X-Men star was also nominated at the SAG Awards and faces off against Will Smith, Leonardo DiCaprio and Eddie Redmayne at the Golden Globes.
