Ryan Tubridy to replace Terry Wogan on BBC Radio 2 show

Following the news that Terry Wogan is unable to present UK charity fundraiser Children In Need due to health reasons, questions were raised on who will sit in for his BBC Radio 2 show over the coming weeks.

Turns out, it will be no other than our very own Ryan Tubridy.

"First and foremost, I want to wish Terry the best of health, I've been an admirer since I was a young boy watching Wogan on the television and more recently listening to him on Radio 2,” Tubridy said.

“I will do my very best to keep his listeners entertained, or at least, occupied, for the next couple of weeks until the man himself returns".

This isn’t the first time Tubs has filled in for other BBC presenters, he has previously filled in for fellow Irish man Graham Norton and newest Top Gear presenter, Chris Evans.

Fellow BBC Radio 2 colleague and former X Factor host Dermot O’Leary will cover Wogan’s Children In Need show.
