Disney announces Mary Poppins remake

Even though the sound of it sounds something quite atrocious, Disney have announced plans to remake their 1964 classic, Mary Poppins.

The new Poppins film will take place in “Depression-era London” 20 years after the original movie took place and “will draw from existing Poppins tales in the rest of author P.L Travers’ 1034-1988 children’s book series”, according to Entertainment Weekly.
