Dervla from Crystal Swing to walk down the aisle this weekend

It’s wedding bells for Crystal Swing this weekend, but this time they are on the other side of the band stand.

Dervla Burke, who forms one part of show band Crystal Swing, will wed her Financeé Tim O’Connor in Lisgoold, Co Cork on Saturday.

Speaking to the Evening Echo she warned; “There might be tears on the day”.

“When I moved out of home my dad shed some tears and it was the first time I’ve ever seen him cry in my life. Now me living away from the family home is just a way of life. I’m hoping he doesn’t cry on Saturday because that will set me off too”.

But there’s no chance of any ‘hippie hippie shakes’ on the day she says.

“Funnily enough I’m not even nervous. I’ve performed at so many weddings now and have seen a lot of brides get worked up and stressed over little things. That’s why I’m trying not to concentrate on the material aspect of the wedding.
