Grand Designs (Channel 4, 8pm)

GrandDesigns2015ch4_large.jpg/timg]After 15 years of travelling the length and breadth of Britain (not to mention a few places abroad), Kevin McCloud must have had hundreds of wonderful properties to choose from while making this ’best of’ compilation – in fact, enough to make several series-worth, rather than just one. But it all draws to a close with a handful of jaunts into the countryside, where those attempting to escape the rat race have built their own outstanding properties. Among those to tickle Kevin’s fancy over the years are the people who have pushed the boundaries of design while transforming agricultural and historic buildings, and bringing cutting-edge contemporary ideas to remote places without ruining the landscape they sit in.
